The Seacoast Human Resources Association (SHRA) welcomes all HR Professionals and those involved supporting the HR field to join our growing organization and enjoy all the benefits of membership.
Our primary mission is to enhance the professional growth of our members by advancing the skills and competencies in the field of Human Resources, through seminars, workshops, personal contacts and networking.
Our Membership year runs from July 1st through June 30th. As a requirement of membership, all Vendor members must also hold a current membership with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

SHRA Member Benefits:
Membership with SHRA is an investment in your career for many reasons. SHRA will provide a forum for access to and exchange of information; promote the development and application of proactive Human Resources concepts and create a better understanding for the general public of the importance and function of the Human Resource role.
As a member of our SHRM affiliated chapter, you will be involved in a professional network that offers many benefits including:
- Discounted cost and invitation to nine monthly meetings where dynamic leaders in the field of Human Resources provide current relevant information that will keep you up to date on a variety of topics. Meetings are held each month from September through June, excluding a May meeting due to the Granite State Conference. Our monthly meetings are HRCI approved!
- Networking with a diverse and knowledgeable group of HR professionals
- Access to the “Members Only” section of our website which includes full member listing and contact information of our member Human Resource Professionals.
- Access to SHRA Scholarships and SHRA Sponsorship to use for registration at a SHRM affiliated conference, both awarded annually.
- Access to PRH and SPHR certification study guide tutorial purchased by SHRA for Member use
- Representation for all employers in the Seacoast area through political and legislative advocacy.
- Developing professional and leadership skills through participation on a SHRA committee. You can also earn HRCI credit hours for participation on our committees!
Membership in SHRA is on an individual basis, not by company, and is not transferable to other individuals.
The four categories of membership and associated annual fees are:
- Professional $50.
- Individuals actively engaged in human resource management at the exempt level or any faculty member with three or more years experience holding assistant or full professorial rank in human resources. Professional members have voting rights and may hold office in the chapter provided they are members of SHRM.
- Associate $50.
- Individuals actively engaged in non-exempt human resource management positions or human resources practitioners not currently practicing. Associate members have voting rights and may hold office in the chapter provided they are members of SHRM.
- Vendor $50.
- Individual(s) in employment with an organization that is a human resources service provider to our members. All vendor members MUST provide satisfactory proof of SHRM membership. Vendor members have voting rights and may hold office in the chapter.
- Student $25.
- Students actively pursuing a degree or concentration in human resources management. Student members do not have voting rights and may not hold office in the chapter.
Monthly Meeting Fees
The annual membership fees will be due by September 14th.

Guest Passes:
Each Member receives two Guest Passes per year. The person would need to register for the meeting as a guest.
Walk-ins are welcome, but space is limited.
To join SHRA, you will need to complete the online application which will be submitted to our Board of Directors for approval. Once the approval process is complete, you will be notified and given your username and password for access to the Member Only area of our website. This approval notification will also direct you to submit payment of your dues.
