February Program Sponsor

We thank our sponsor Tim Dabrieo from Wadell Reed

Tim Dabrieo, Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed, helps individuals develop a systematic, detailed plan to work toward achieving their financial goals.  He also works with organizations in the community to help them and their employees in a couple ways:

Financial Wellness Program:Tim partnered with his friend and colleague, Bonnie Staniewicz, CFP®, over the past three years to introduce a unique benefit to organizations.  This program consists of a curriculum of 6-8 one hour classes combined with a series of one on one meetings with an advisor.  Through the classes participants learn more about a variety of topics like credit scores, managing debt, Insurance basics, Investment fundamentals, retirement planning, funding future the costs of education and estate planning.  Tim and Bonnie bring their financial planning experience to the program and work with each individual to help them develop their financial goals, see what they have done so far to work toward those goals, develop specific actionable recommendations for them to start achieving those goals and most importantly, follow up to make sure they are on track.

Retirement Plans:

Here are the new buzz phrases for 2012:

-       Employer Fee Disclosure 408(b)(2)

-       Employee Fee Disclosure 404(a)(5.

What the heck are they and what do they mean to you?!  Beyond fees, I have found that many leaders in organizations are not happy with the level of service their staff is receiving from their current provider.  They are also concerned about the amount of time they spend preparing form 5500, preparing for plan audits and administrative tasks.  I enjoy helping businesses analyze their current plan and determine if there may be a better option for them.
